Happy Thanksgiving!

Best wishes for a happy holiday to you and yours.

With so many people still displaced from their homes in the southern United States due to hurricane Katrina, and with so many of our men and women still in peril in Iraq, this is a Thanksgiving Day of mixed feelings. Our hearts go out to those who still are trying to rebuild their lives after the incredible disaster in New Orleans and the surrounding area. Our prayers are with them and those involved in the conflict in Iraq.

Black Friday

Two years ago I foolishly let two of our daughters talk me into chauffeuring them on a Black Friday shopping trip. Since I was there, I decided to try to pick up a few of the "free after rebates" specials at two of our local office supply stores. A Rant About Shopping for Freebies is the result. I still get nasty (and not so nasty) emails from employees of the stores mentioned. I think I struck a nerve! If you're going to enter the fray tomorrow and shop for freebies after rebates, you might want to read the column above.

Mac Mini Column

I finally got a column done about the Mac Mini, now that I've sold it. I finally decided that I needed a PowerBook for my increasingly frequent road trips for work. While I was pleased with the Mini, I simply couldn't afford both, so the Mini went on eBay last week. Just Another Mac Mini Column summarizes my experiences with the Mini.
